Currently, Les Echos is a part of the luxury goods conglomerate LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton).More than 12 years ago, Visual Craft team developed the initial version of the service called JAL for its previous owner. The partnership with the 3rd biggest newspaper in France started after JAL was acquired by Les Echos. Having analyzed the LA and NY markets and our client’s business needs, we discovered that the old version of the website was not viable from a business point of view. The number of converted customers was below the average.The main reasons for the low conversion rate: the design of the website was outdated, which reduced the value of the brand; the structure of the website was too complicated, while the interface was not intuitive enough; there were numerous contact forms for different services, which confused potential customers.As a result, the website couldn’t provide a decent amount of new clients. Having approved our ideas with CenterStaging, we decided to completely redesign the structure and the user interface of the website. Besides standard real estate feeds, Home Junction offers unique data that enhances the buying experience.The IDX tool includes data of historical sales, the standard of living, average income, and dozens of others. Agents use this data to help buyers make accurate purchasing decisions.ChallengeHome Junction offers a complex ecosystem with many plugins, themes, widgets, and tools. The main IDX solution was no longer usable due to outdated technology. Lack of support on mobile devices created user inconveniences and potential losses in the customer base.
