Revealing a Critical Vulnerability: XSS In a Tweet
In the years following the MySpace worm, Virtue Security discovered a significantly more serious vulnerability: Cross-Site Scripting in a Tweet. As part of a bug bounty, Virtue Security was able to discover multiple weaknesses, which when chained together, allowed a Tweet to self-propogate indefinitely.Because of the criticality of the vulnerability, Virtue Security helped coordinate a fix to the various vulnerabilities.
