64 Bits is the name we created for an exhibition of 32 Web 1.0 websites and 32 examples of computer art. 64-bits also describes a generation of computers that use 64-bit microprocessors, first used in PCs in the 1990s. See what we did there?64, from the Indo-Arabic numeral system invented between the 1st and 4th centuries by Indian mathematicians.‍Bit, a contraction of binary digit coined by US computer pioneer John Tukey in 1948.

Over the years, we have helped name a number of Agent Provocateur’s magical lingerie ranges, including their classic Shuffle briefs and Hat Trick nightwear set.Homonyms, words that have the same spelling but have dual meanings, are rich pickings for brand names. Shuffle, meaning a shuffling movement, or the act of shuffling a deck of cards, was no exception when it came to naming these briefs for Agent Provocateur.Shuffle, from Low German schuffeln meaning to walk clumsily, also the origin as shove and scuffle.‍‍When cricketer HH Stephenson took three wickets with three deliveries, bowled-over fans held a collection, presenting him with a hat full of the proceeds. Empire Cinemas Sometimes you don’t have to work that hard looking for a name. Empire Cinemas was formed in 2005 when Irish entrepreneur Thomas Anderson acquired 10 cinemas from Odeon Cinemas and Cineworld, one of which was The Empire Leicester Square. It made sense to leverage the heritage of this iconic theatre. The selling point was the hidden IRE in the name.Empire, from the Latin imperium, meaning rule or command. GoScope   We created the descriptive name GoScope for this groundbreaking portable surgical microscope that is to the point yet full of energy. The repeating vowel sounds make it memorable and satisfying to say.‍Go is a gerund verb, meaning it behaves as both a noun and a verb. Gerunds are powerful because they combine the descriptive properties of a noun and the energy of a verb.‍Scope, from the Greek skopos, meaning target.  “Inqdrop are awesome!
