Project Description

Jindal Steel and Power Limited, an esteemed Indian steel company headquartered in New Delhi, operates as a key member of the OP Jindal Group.Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), significant workloads are already operational within the AWS cloud infrastructure, the recommendation from Insphere to establish a robust Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy carries vital importance. This recommendation stems from the recognition that the nature of JSPL’s workloads is critical to the organization’s operations and success. JSPL’s web application production server is operational in the AWS cloud infrastructure. In collaboration with Insphere, a strategic approach has been implemented using cross-region replication to enhance data redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities. This approach includes the creation of read replicas for both the Amazon RDS database, Load Balancer and the S3 media & Static bucket. By implementing read replicas for the Amazon RDS database and configuring cross-region replication for the S3 media bucket, Insphere has established a comprehensive disaster recovery mechanism for JSPL’s web application. This solution guarantees data redundancy, minimizes the risk of data loss, and enables rapid recovery in the face of unexpected disruptions or outages in the primary Mumbai region. With this approach, JSPL is well-prepared to maintain uninterrupted service for its users and stakeholders, while upholding the highest standards of data availability and integrity.Addressing these challenges with a well-designed DR solution helps JSPL ensure data availability, meet compliance requirements, and maintain business continuity, even in the case of unexpected disasters or disruptions.
