Project Description

CarPal: Changing the way the goods move in citiesHow we provided the right set of talents and technologies and enabled the quick growth of the existing product?CHALLENGE:CarPal reached out to us when they already had an existing development team working on the product and know-how regarding the development of software products. They needed to scale their development team and add new technologies as fast as they wanted to grow their SaaS branch of the business - CarPal Fleet.PROCESS:Although CarPal’s office is based in Singapore with a six-hour time zone difference, we managed to develop a routine to deliver both applications at a fast pace without sacrificing the quality of work. Our React Native developers and React developers contacted the client on a daily basis to discuss and plan the development and reported directly to CarPal’s CEO who is responsible for Product Development.OUTCOME:Both CarPal Fleet apps are sophisticated pieces of code, but the mobile CarPal Fleet Driver app is in our opinion the most interesting because:It’s truly cross-platform while maintaining some iOS and Android requirementsThere are 4 methods that allow the driver to prove the delivery in the appIt has a built-in contact module so the driver can contact his operations manager, customer, or the receiving party through the appThere is a sophisticated location tracking module built in so all interested parties can know where the cars are all the time.Read the full case study here.

Bonacea

Bonacea: designing UI/UX for a medical IoT startupHow we created a complete UX flow and working prototype for the diagnostic medical app available on various devices - from smartwatches to full HD smart TVs?CHALLENGE:Bonacea is a large, complex project involving software and hardware. The main objectives are for it to be easy to set up and intuitive to use. We were asked to prepare UX and UI concepts for the web and mobile interfaces. This time, “mobile” also meant… smartwatches. Here are the challenges that we faced:develop a clear UX flow within an application, consistent among devicescreate intuitive UI for various types of screens — from 4k monitors to smartwatchesgive clear and straightforward information on medicament dosing.PROCESS:The process of gathering requirements and drawing low-fidelity mockups helped to save a significant amount of money and time by avoiding costly modifications during the development. Our UX/UI designers created flows for various devices and app roles. At this stage, we agreed on the overall functionalities of the app. Afterward, we started prototyping low-fidelity designs, along with gathering more specific requirements. When that was completed, discussed, and accepted, we agreed on the final form of the system and began drawing designs.OUTCOME:Bonacea received the complete design of the system for all devices. The process of gathering requirements and drawing low-fidelity mockups helped to save a significant amount of money by avoiding costly modifications during the development. Additionally, we made sure that everyone involved had the same understanding of the final product by building clickable prototypes. It reduced further discussions and increased productivity during the next phases of building technical architecture.Read the full case study here.

Chilling

CHALLENGE:Chilling is a sister brand of SnowShow. They provide tours to the hottest exotic locations in Europe. To start their new branch, they needed a booking system for summer trips.PROCESS:We already worked with SnowShow and their business processes. To optimize the work, we started with wireframes to see how much Chilling’s booking system will differ from SnowShow’s. After that, we knew we’d have to separate Chilling’s CMS, but was able to use SnowsShows’s CRM and recommendation system with only a few adjustments to address Chilling’s business requirements.OUTCOME:In just two months our Ruby on Rails developers delivered a cutting-edge booking system that allowed them to earn money on summer trips from day one.
