CSOD Release Management Process for a pharma giant

Subject:The client is a multinational pharma company specialized in the research, development, and manufacturing of drugs and vaccines. The client used the Cornerstone system in their organization, particularly in departments operating in regulated markets. Compliance with regulations requires maintaining the system in a constant validated state. Therefore, the client decided to engage the eConsulting team to coordinate the release management process of the CSOD system, ensuring controlled and secure processes for any changes or modifications in the system. Scope of work:We started by gathering information about the client’s validation methods and system usage. This enabled us to execute the release management process covering the configuration and business use cases. The project involved individuals from our CSOD department and Validation team members responsible for documentation. The validation, spanning approximately six months, focused on bringing the system to a state ensuring the client’s safety.  After the project concluded, the client lacked their own trained staff capable of managing this process, which led them to entrust us with the responsibility of overseeing their Release Management and Patch Management in CSOD.  Over the years, we have been educating the client on best practices for Release Management and Patch Management. As the client acquired sufficient knowledge, they took over the responsibility for Release Management. The collaboration spanned five years, initially involving three active team members from our side, adapting as per project requirements. The project transitioned from our complete management to the client’s active participation.  Result:For clients operating in a validated environment, ensuring compliance across all their systems is of paramount importance. Our intervention rectified the system, ensuring the client’s safety and compliance. The client highly appreciated our professionalism, expertise, and responsiveness.

Implementation of a Centralized Learning Manageme

Subject:This client is a global distributor of electronic components and solutions that provides services to more than 1.3 million customers worldwide. Integrating project roles and training -GxP client

SubjectThe client’s primary formal requirement was to centralize this data for better management, seeking a unified platform to efficiently oversee and manage it. They aimed to meticulously track their GxP projects. This demanded a validated environment where individuals had to undergo training.  The customer chose eConsulting for the implementation of the Cornerstone OnDemand LMS and Core modules. Scope of workInitially, we sent the client various questionnaires with diverse questions allowing us to subtly determine key decisions that would later impact the system. Later on, we requested the System Risk Assessment (SRA) and User Requirement Specification (URS). This was followed by a kick-off. At this stage, the client was to provide us with scenarios and process descriptions. However, the client lacked detailed descriptions, so we provided an additional service - Business Process Alignment. Then we proceeded with the implementation. We conducted a Validation Workshop, which was a critical session outlining Cornerstone’s validated environment methodology and maintenance approach. The outcome resulted in a comprehensive report of definitive agreements, forming the basis for subsequent implementation decisions. Later we conducted several Discovery workshops, introducing the client to Cornerstone’s functionalities (rules, schemas etc.). Around the same time, we developed the Validation Plan, outlining the system’s validation strategy. Later we entered the Proof of Concept stage. After several months of work, the validation phase commenced. We prepared the Configuration Workbook and planned and executed IQ and OQ tests. ResultThe implementation lasted for 12 months. The continued collaboration stands as a clear testament to the client’s high level of satisfaction and contentment with our services. Our GxP implementation significantly bolstered and simplified the client’s oversight of ensuring completion of all required trainings for specific roles.

The importance of Business Process Alignment (BPA)

SubjectOur client, one of the largest trade industrial groups in Ukraine, wanted to implement an HCM system to provide a centralized platform for recruiting and onboarding new employees, managing their training and development, as well as measuring their performance. They partnered with eConsulting, the largest Cornerstone OnDemand partner in Europe.  Scope of workThe most challenging part of the project was Business Process Alignment. Due to the client’s involvement in a variety of specialized firms, their processes varied greatly. Our goal was to identify commonalities and create a unified system framework. We collaborated to create a comprehensive map of their essential system requirements. Upon the completion of BPA, we commenced the implementation phase. In the 1 phase, we successfully implemented 4 modules:Core: the backbone of the system, defining fundamental aspects such as user creation, login page design, menu configuration, button settings, etc.Learning: This module serves as a centralized platform for the governance, assignment, automation, and tracking of required training.Performance: This module facilitates evaluating employees’ performance and assessing their goals.Recruiting: A system designed to meet the client’s recruiting needs, providing an end-to-end experience from job browsing to signing offer letters. Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances involving the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the project was suspended at the end of Phase 1 and is yet to resume. ResultsIn light of the current geopolitical circumstances and the suspension of the project, it becomes challenging to quantify specific benefits for the client resulting from the implementation.
