Dionysus Events

Project Description

The Dionysus Movement are one of Canberra’s leading event management companies. Each year they put on a number of well known festivals and events around the Australian Capital Territory. The Dionysus team approached Clean Commit asking for help in consolidating and redesigning their outdated website. Since the website was originally built, the number of projects that the Dionysus Movement coordinate has increased to the point where it was no longer manageable. After a number of consultations, we worked together to define a detailed list of design and functionality requirements. The design needed to speak to their creative and philosophical mission, while the website’s performance needed to allow users to easily navigate a large number of upcoming and past events. The Dionysus website has been built using GatsbyJS and Netlify CMS. This React-based framework ensures the site will be future proofed with incredibly performance, and water tight security.

AFTCO Headless Shopify + Next.js + Contentful

The American Fishing & Tackle Company are an excellent example of a business that understands the value of composable commerce, rapidly rolling out prototypes and the need to be reactive to their customer’s changing needs. Over the past few months, we’ve partnered with AFTCO to help implement their new headless store. With their permission, we’re publishing the case study to provide insights for other businesses looking to commit to the same growth play. For years, AFTCO had operated a successful monolithic Shopify store that stocked all the great products they carry in their chain of stores across the Western parts of the U.S. What separates them from the competition (besides their awesome gear) is their willingness to take bold steps to improve their digital operations and customer experience. The legacy Shopify store was performing well enough but had reached a natural plateau. AFTCO wanted the site to keep evolving through A/B testing, optimizations, a modern UI, and product personalisation. Adding plugins or extensions to the site to achieve these goals was hurting their core web vitals and page load times, preventing them from getting closer to their goals. We helped their team:- Reach 99/100 performance score on Google’s page speed insights- Fix their failing Core Web Vitals assessment- Set up a CI/CD pipeline so content changes in Contentful automatically publish - Integrate Klevu, an AI-product recommendation service- Find a hosting solution that fits their budget much better- Save over a TB of monthly data transfer by optimizing their site’s performance- Implement tailored content writing tools to improve their marketing team’s quality of life and efficiency- Achieve a future-proofed architecture where any service can be replaced without needing to overhaul the entire platform

Bloom Website Design and Development (Gatsby.js)

The Bloom Collective are an innovative answer to housing issues in Australia. While their project aims to solve issues for a wide range of the Australian community, they needed a website that spoke more to a corporate persona. They approached us asking for help in designing and developing a clean, modern website. Above all else, the website needed to showcase their product photography and video. On top of an impressive design, we incorporated modern technology resulting in blazing fast page loading times, highly search engine optimised content, and an easy user experience. The Bloom website has been built using GatsbyJS and Netlify CMS. This React-based framework ensures the site will be future proofed with incredibly performance, and water tight security.

GetBuilt PMS (Laravel, Next.js)

What happens when the only SaaS available for wardrobe and shower screen manufacturers is full of functionality holes? This is the problem GetBuilt were faced with. They needed a team management tool that could coordinate their team, ensure their warehousing team didn’t miss a beat, but was simple enough for everyone to use. The only off-the-shelf software made for their situation was a poor fit.The first step in the project was to take their team through a two-session roadmapping process to figure out all the problems they were trying to solve and suggest the best solution possible. The requirements were bundled into a low-fidelity clickable prototype which let the GetBuilt verify that we were on the money with what was going to be built. Finally, the project was designed and is currently in development. While the guys originally wanted a mobile app, it became clear pretty quickly that they needed a system that would work on a desktop too so they could organise their team from their office desktops. They were set on needing push notifications, which left us in an interesting position - building a PWA with a custom push notification system that could be used by iOS’s recently released experimental push notification feature. The project is currently ongoing and on track for release by the end of the year.
