Alter Acadie aspires to live in a society where members of the francophone 2ELGBTIA+ community in New Brunswick are individually and collectively fulfilled, well established and integrated, well represented and have access to adapted services and activities, without any discrimination.Alter Acadie NB was created with the ultimate goal of helping to broaden and diversify the range of partners who collaborate in the development of official-language minority communities. Through our project, we actively seek to demonstrate that it is by working together that we make our society stronger.In short, Alter Acadie is a contribution to the Acadian social project that ensures it is intersectional.
It’s true that young children don’t understand what’s going on in all situations they see adults facing, but they understand a lot more than we think. Keep in mind that by setting the example, you are not only making winter activities safer for yourself. You are also encouraging others, such as family members and friends of all ages, to take steps to help make it an unforgettable winter for everyone.Safety isn’t complicated - if a child can remind you of safe behaviours in a play-pretend context, it means that adults should be able to adopt safe behaviours in real-life situations.
Working alongside great public educator to recruit French immersion teachers, the campaign relied on both New Brunswick as a place to live, work, and play as well as on the school district’s offering. Hearing from teachers and also making use of a touching promotional, scripted video, the campaign was distributed nationally and was able to attract many potential candidates.
