Project Description

A complete brand for the  City of Edmonton initiative that I was brought on to create the entire visual aspects of the project (logo, website, marketing materials, posters, flyers, stickers, apparel, art direct photoshoot, etc.). The project was called “Chasing the Purple Flag” and was initiated by Barbara Ursuliak. Purple Flag is an accreditation scheme based out of the UK that recognizes excellence in the management of town and city centres at night - entertainment areas that achieve the standard will benefit from an improved night time environment and a reputation that offers ‘a better night out’ to visitors. Purple Flag is very well known throughout Europe. I brought on a team that consisted of writers, photographers, models and website developers to assist my creative ideas to help push this initiative through. Which, ultimately was very successful in downtown Edmonton’s 104th Street’s historic Warehouse District gaining global awareness by being the first accredited neighbourhood in North America! Sadly, the program wasn’t continued after Barbara retired a few years back.
